Keigo Furnival is a writer based in Japan, focusing on international news, media, and everyday life.
Born in England to English and Japanese parents, he has lived between both countries throughout his life and is fluent in English and Japanese. His work is shaped by a cross-cultural perspective between the UK and Japan, with a focus on how culture, language, and media influence the way information is understood in different contexts.
He is currently studying International Relations and Cross-Cultural Communication in the Faculty of International and Global Studies. Alongside his studies, he writes independently for Parallel News.
His writing combines news analysis with personal observation, often drawing on everyday life in Japan to explore broader cultural and media themes.
Through Parallel News, he publishes in both English and Japanese on international news, life in Japan, and cultural commentary. The project aims to make global and local perspectives more accessible to readers navigating different languages and cultural contexts.
